What is Jentadueto?

Jentadueto contains two active ingredients: metformin and linagliptin. It is used to treat type 2 diabetes in adults whose blood sugar is not controlled by metformin alone.

We understand that it’s not always convenient to see your GP to pick up a prescription, which is why our quick and easy online prescribing service makes it possible to order Jentadueto online. Complete our medical form to get started.

One of our online prescribers can review your medical form and prescribe Jentadueto if they deem it suitable for you.

At Prescription Doctor, we take your privacy very seriously. All items are packaged in plain, discreet packaging that does not indicate their contents.

How does Jentadueto work?

Jentadueto contains two ingredients: metformin and linagliptin.

Linagliptin increases the amount of insulin your pancreas produces. This increase in insulin helps move sugar from the blood into the cells that need it as fuel.

Metformin reduces the amount of glucose (sugar) your liver produces.

In combination, both linagliptin and metformin can effectively reduce your blood sugar levels.

Jentadueto controls blood sugar levels, helping to avoid the above health risks. Taking Jentadueto as prescribed, combined with a balanced diet and regular exercise, helps improve insulin levels and their effects.

How do I take Jentadueto?

Always take Jentadueto as prescribed by your doctor.

The Jentadueto dosage depends on your condition, taking into account if you are already taking linagliptin and/or metformin.

Take Jentadueto tablets twice a day.

Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

Jentadueto should be taken with a meal to prevent stomach upset.

Never take more than the maximum daily recommended dose of 5mg linagliptin and 2,000mg metformin hydrochloride. Keep taking the medication as long as it is prescribed.

What should I do if I forget to take Jentadueto when I should?

If you forget to take Jentadueto when you should, take it as soon as you remember. Never double the dosage to make up for a missed one. If it is nearly time for the next dose, take just one dose and continue taking it as prescribed by your doctor.

What should I do if I take too much Jentadueto?

You may experience lactic acidosis. Symptoms can include feeling unwell, vomiting, stomachache, muscle cramps, and extreme tiredness, as well as breathing difficulties. You may experience reduced heartbeat and body temperature. As lactic acidosis can lead to coma, immediate hospital treatment may be needed. Discontinue the medication and consult a doctor or visit a hospital. Take the medication pack with you.
