What Is Evorel Conti?

Evorel Conti is a continuous, combined hormone replacement therapy (HRT) applied directly to the skin via a patch.

• Key Hormones: The patches contain synthetic hormones that mimic oestrogen and progesterone, specifically estradiol and norethisterone.
• Purpose: These patches are designed to alleviate the symptoms of menopause.

How to Take Evorel Conti?

A patch is applied every 3 to 4 days. The treatment is packaged in a “memory” pack, which provides instructions on when to change your patch.

Where Do I Apply Evorel Patches?

Apply the patch only to the area indicated on the packaging.

Apply the patch to an area of hairless, clear skin, such as the thigh or buttocks, below the waist.

Do not apply Evorel patches to the torso, chest, arms, shoulders or stomach.

When applying the patch, avoid touching the adhesive (sticky) side. Partially peel the protective sheet and apply the patch to clean, clear skin. Gently peel away the remaining protective sheet and press the patch firmly against your skin, ensuring the entire patch is in contact with your skin.

Press the patch firmly against the skin using the palm of your hand to ensure adhesion.

Once the patch has been applied to your skin, refrain from touching it, as this may affect the patch’s adhesion. Take care when showering and dressing to prevent accidentally peeling the patch off your skin.

To remove the patch, gently peel it away from the skin and fold it in half so that the sticky side sticks to itself. Then, throw the used patch in the bin.

After you remove the patch, some residual glue may remain. This usually resolves on its own, but you can use baby oil to help remove it.

What Should I Do If My Patch Falls Off?

If your patch falls off, and it’s not near the time of changing your patch, apply a new patch and change the patch as you would normally.

If your patch falls off and it is near the time for changing your patch, do not apply a new patch immediately; apply the next patch as you usually would.

In either instance, do not alter the days on which you change your patch.

• are at an increased risk of developing blood clots
• have or have ever had liver disease, and your liver function tests have not returned to normal
• have ever had a blocked artery that caused you angina, a heart attack or stroke
• have a rare blood problem called porphyria

Side Effects of Evorel HRT Patches

• Itchy, red, watery eyes
• Raised, itchy, red rash (hives)
• Swelling of the lips, tongue, eyes or face
• Tummy pain, nausea, vomiting or diarrhoea
• Wheezing

Evorel Conti During Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Do not use Evorel HRT patches if you are pregnant, think you might be pregnant, or are breastfeeding.

If you become pregnant while on Evorel HRT patches, stop using the patches and speak to your doctor immediately.

Always ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Other Safety Information
